The two prestigious awards saw BMW come out on top in an online poll for Fleet News readers. The accolades are especially reserved for professionals who manage a group of drivers to ensure that only the best models are recognised. <\/p>\n
Fleet managers were sent a unique code with their copy of Fleet News allowing them to take part and to vote just once for their favourite manufacturer and car.<\/p>\n
Most of the awards are voted for by carefully selected panels of experts, whose discussions are overseen by Deloitte to ensure the judging process is fair and unbiased.<\/p>\n
On the two headline award wins, Fleet News editor-in-chief Stephen Briers said: "The BMW 5 Series has been freshened with a broader range of diesel versions which reduce running costs, but one thing that hasn't changed is its peerless driver appeal. The 5 Series remains the benchmark in the sector."<\/p>\n
He added that the German manufacturer "continues to set the standard when it comes to providing a range of outstanding, low cost models backed with the excellent level of support needed to satisfy fleets". <\/p>\n
Mr Briers said that BMW has managed to remain the most desirable brand for both fleets and their drivers.<\/p>\n
