The model, which is set to compete with the Volkswagen Polo and Ford Fiesta, is designed to provide an unbeatable blend of safety, environmental-friendliness and performance.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Due to go on sale in Japan as soon as this autumn, the car isn\u2019t set to arrive on British shores until 2015, where it is expected to compete with other popular small cars, the Polo and Fiesta, for supremacy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The vehicle will include Skyactiv efficiency technology which is designed to make the vehicle as fuel efficient and environmentally friendly as can be and will be available as a 1.5-litre petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Also included is Mazda\u2019s own MZD Connect system \u2013 a system which will allow drivers to manage in-car features with either the rotary controller or touch-screen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to the Telegraph, Jeff Guyton, European CEO of Mazda, explained: \u201cIt won\u2019t have the lowest headline CO2 figure in the supermini sector, but it will have the best balance of performance and CO2.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Mazda 2 is somewhat similar in external design to the Mazda 3 but the interior is undeniably unique, featuring a suave, modern and simple design that is sure to impress drivers and passengers alike.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Price of the Mazda 2 is yet to be announced but Mr Guyton said: \u201cThe Mazda 2 has never played in the budget end of the market, and it\u2019s not going to start now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To find out more about the latest car news from the country\u2019s biggest and most loved manufacturers, and to discuss this story with others, follow us on Twitter or Facebook today.
