The new XE model from Jaguar is set to create thousands of jobs for British people in the Midlands, according to a report by the Birmingham Post.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve been told that the exciting new release, which won\u2019t begin production until 2015, is going to be created in Solihull at the Land Rover factory \u2013 a move that will see many jobs created for hard working Brits in the automobile manufacturing and supply sector!<\/p>\n
The positive news comes only days after Jaguar revealed the new addition of their impressive XE sports saloon.<\/p>\n
The boom in jobs is fantastic news for the British manufacturing and automobile sectors alike. It\u2019s been said that Solihull will receive 1,700 jobs, DHL will take on an extra 700, and various supply chains throughout the area will employ 150 extra people.<\/p>\n
Alan Volkaerts is the operations director of the Solihull plant and was understandably excited by the great news:<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be 1,700 new jobs all across the factory. On top of those 1,700, DHL are recruiting. They are completely integrated with our operation, DHL are hiring 700, supporting our 1,700\u201d explained Alan. \u201cIt will be 2,000 jobs upwards in the supply chain. We have a brand new body shop, a brand new final assembly. We never had any reason not to build Jaguars and Land Rovers across our different plants.\u201d<\/p>\n
