Well-known fashion designer Jeremy Scott has tried his hand at creating a special-edition version of the Smart ForTwo electric vehicle.
\nThe result is a car entitled the ForJeremy, which has gone on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show and is sure to capture plenty of attention at one of biggest motoring exhibitions in the US.
\nScott is known for his eccentric approach to fashion design, having created unique costumes for pop princesses such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Madonna and Katy Perry in the past.
\nThis ideology has now been brought to the motoring world, seeing as though the Smart ForTwo ForJeremy comes complete with what appears to be a set of wings emerging from the rear of the vehicle.
\nRather than simply being a quirky design touch to help make the concept car different to anything else on the market, the features actually illuminate and form ‘avant-garde’ rearward lights.
\nExplaining why he chose a wing style, Mr Scott pointed out: “For me, wings mean freedom, a sense of weightlessness.
\n“Because of this, I definitely wanted to have them for the smart electric drive in order to convey the way it frees the environment of noxious emissions and symbolises the new lightness of mobility.”<\/p>\n

It is not all about the quirky exterior design that helps to make the Smart ForTwo ForJeremy so appealing though.
\nThe vehicle packs in a 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery that can deliver a range of around 90 miles without producing even an ounce of local emissions, while a 55 kW electric motor allows the car to travel from 0-37mph in just 4.8 seconds.
