The Jaguar XF has been named as the best car of the past ten years.<\/p>\n

It was the Southern Group of Motoring Writers (SGMW) that called it the Car of the Decade and the impressive accolade added to the vehicle’s collection of more than 100 awards. The SGMW, which is comprised of 30 motoring journalists, editors and authors, was looking for a special way to celebrate its own ten-year anniversary and prize-giving seemed fitting.<\/p>\n

Sue Baker, chairman for the group, said the Jaguar XF has an impressive mix of style, grace and driving calibre and in the end, it was the outstanding choice for Car of the Decade.<\/p>\n

“With its proud heritage, voluptuously sculpted design, engineering precision and wow-factor cabin, the XF is a worthy winner of this notable award,” she added.<\/p>\n

In the the four years after it was initially spotted on Britain’s roads, Jaguar’s engineers have not rested on their laurels. One of their major initiatives has been the introduction of new powertrains, which have improved the car’s fuel efficiency and emissions performance and opened up new market opportunities, especially in the fleet sector. The introduction of the XF Sportbrake has also been a big success.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Hicks, managing director at Jaguar Land Rover UK, said that the XF’s critical success since it was launched in 2008 has been remarkable and the SGMW Car of the Decade accolade is another fantastic prize.<\/p>\n

He added: “The introduction of the 2.2-litre diesel engine to the XF range has opened doors in the corporate market – an area we take very seriously and in which we see great growth potential.”<\/p>\n

The XF 2.2-litre diesel<\/a> now has highly competitive CO2 emissions of just 135 g\/km and an impressive economy of 55.4 mpg and may be very appealing to the corporate sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
