Chery is one of the latest car manufacturers to make inroads in the UK, following in the footsteps of sister companies Jaecoo and Omoda.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Like both of those brands, Chery is aiming to bring a true sense of value with its cars, bringing lots of equipment for the money.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is kicking things off with the new Tiggo range, entering into the ever-popular SUV segment to rival many of the key contenders. Remember, if you\u2019d like to get into a Jaecoo<\/a> or Omoda<\/a> – with which the Tiggo cars share some features – then you can check them out at UK CarLine<\/a> today.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tiggo 7<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Tiggo 7 rivals the likes of the Kia Sportage <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Tiggo 7 is the newest addition to the Chery range and it\u2019s set to go up against cars like the Dacia Bigster<\/a> and Kia Sportage.<\/a> As a dedicated five-seater, it\u2019s designed to offer a decent level of space and comes equipped with either a standard 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, or a plug-in hybrid which combines the same engine with an electric motor and battery.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, Chery says that this \u2018Super Hybrid\u2019 can bring up to 56 miles of electric-only range which, when combined with the petrol engine, could mean up to 745 miles from a full charge and a filled-up tank. The battery can be taken from 30 to 80 per cent in 20 minutes, too. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All cars come with lots of standard equipment, too, including dual-zone air conditioning, adaptive cruise control and a six-speaker Sony sound system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tiggo 7 will also be available with another trim level, called Summit, which adds in an upgraded eight-speaker sound system, ventilated front seats and even a heated steering wheel to help take the edge off the winter cold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Need more space? Well, that\u2019s where the Tiggo 8 comes in. This seven-seater Skoda Kodiaq<\/a> rival has been designed to offer as much practicality as can be. Unlike the Tiggo 7, the 8 will only be available with the plug-in \u2018Super Hybrid\u2019 system, with Chery claiming an electric-only range of up to 56 miles. The ability to charge at speeds of up to 50kW means you should be able to complete an 80 per cent charge in under half an hour, too. Overall, Chery claims you should get up to 754 miles of range through a combination of petrol and electric power in this clever hybrid<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As with cars from Jaecoo and Omoda, the Chery Tiggo 8 comes with a lot of standard technology, including a large central screen and a separate display ahead of the driver. There\u2019s also an additional display below the main infotainment for controlling the climate and ventilation functions. You also get both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included as standard, as well as a full panoramic sunroof to help make the cabin feel a little brighter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chery says that the Tiggo 8 is a \u20185+2\u2019 vehicle, which might mean that the very rearmost seats will only offer enough space for children or smaller adults. However, it does mean that the car can offer the flexibility to carry more people should you need to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
