{"id":534,"date":"2012-09-11T15:19:35","date_gmt":"2012-09-11T15:19:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cars.rankingsolutions.com\/news\/?p=534"},"modified":"2014-01-09T15:20:34","modified_gmt":"2014-01-09T15:20:34","slug":"volvo-takes-the-new-v40-to-greenfleet-scotland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ukcarline.co.uk\/news\/volvo-takes-the-new-v40-to-greenfleet-scotland\/","title":{"rendered":"Volvo takes the new V40 to GreenFleet Scotland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Volvo has announced that it will be showcasing some of its most environmentally friendly vehicles at this year&#8217;s GreenFleet Scotland show.<\/p>\n<p>The V40 model has been a great success with drivers looking to combine style with sustainability, but the motoring industry never slows down and the Swedish engineers have been hard at work on a new version.<\/p>\n<p>It will be the star attraction in Scotland, especially for fleet operators looking to lower their carbon footprint and save money on their benefits in kind tax.<\/p>\n<p>As it produces 95 g of CO2 per km, the V40 will be in the lowest tax bracket of 13 per cent for both this tax year and the next.<\/p>\n<p>It will also allow drivers to enjoy zero vehicle excise duty.<\/p>\n<p>Fleets may be clamouring for the car now, as next April the write down allowance for offsetting 100 per cent against taxable profits in the first year falls from 110g\/km to 95g\/km.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses can save even more money if they look to acquire the V40 as part of a Volvo <a href=\"\/\">car leasing<\/a> scheme.<\/p>\n<p>Not surprisingly all the cutting-edge technology that is hidden by the striking exterior comes at a cost, with the basic list price for the car being set at \u00a319,140.00.<\/p>\n<p>However, until the end of September, the <a href=\"\/contract-hire\/deals\/volvo\/v40\/v40-diesel-hatchback\/d2-es-5dr\/89482\">Volvo V40 Diesel Hatchback D2 ES five-door version costs just \u00a3206.75<\/a> per month with contract hire.<\/p>\n<p>Considering this vehicle is capable of 78.5 mpg it could really be a wise investment.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors to the Volvo stand at GreenFleet Scotland will see two new V40 models on static display, as well as have the opportunity to drive four models, including the V40 D2 SE model.<\/p>\n<p>The event takes place on September 13th at Edinburgh&#8217;s Royal Highland Centre.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Volvo has announced that it will be showcasing some of its most environmentally friendly vehicles at this year&#8217;s GreenFleet Scotland show.
