Fleet managers thinking about using van leasing<\/a> to try out the latest developments in the light commercial vehicles sector could venture to a new exhibition.<\/p>\n

On September 5th and 6th, over 50 low carbon vehicle experts will take to the stage to give speeches during the seminar programme at LCV2012 – the largest business to business event of its kind in the UK.<\/p>\n

Attendees will be run through talks, which will be split into three distinct sessions, each covering an important part of modern-day fleet operations.<\/p>\n

These include technology innovation and energy infrastructures, the basics of multi-vehicle management and government policy.<\/p>\n

Chief executive of organisers Cenex Robert Evans said: “The importance of UK-developed low carbon vehicle technologies cannot be understated. These technologies are key to industrial competitiveness, helping to drive down the motor industry\u2019s carbon footprint, moving the sector away from its current dependency on fossil fuels.”<\/p>\n

He added that LCV2012 will provide the perfect opportunity for business owners who are unsure whether to adopt the new technology to get much clearer information.<\/p>\n

Many of the biggest names in the business will come to showcase their low carbon vehicle innovations and will also discuss the next steps that need to be taken to ensure the UK remains at the forefront of the transport industry’s drive to reduce carbon emissions.<\/p>\n

The event takes place at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire.<\/p>\n

Van leasing is a great way for fleet managers to try carbon-free technology out for themselves.<\/p>\n

As the models are still in their infancy, they remain more expensive than regular fossil-fuel powered alternatives and as such, the high upfront costs could limit any potential savings they will make by running the vehicles.<\/p>\n
