The Citroen DS3 is a hugely popular contract hire car – for both personal and business use.<\/p>\n

Its reliability and performance make it a top choice, and with UK Car Line having an industry-leading deal on at the moment, fleet operators have never had a better reason to opt for the sporty car.<\/p>\n

However, it is not just the world of business where the high-performance Citroen DS3 is making waves, it is also turning heads in the world of international rally.<\/p>\n

Chris Atkinson and Stephane Prevot have leased a souped-up DS3 to Finland to compete on behalf of the Qatar World Rally Team.<\/p>\n

After a summer break, the Citroen Racing team return to the action of the World Rally Championship and will be hoping to use the impressive performance of the vehicle to raise their ranking.<\/p>\n

Benoit Nogier, head of Citroen Racing Technologies, said: “Ever since Chris Atkinson took part in the 2009 Rally Ireland in a C4 WRC, we have kept in touch and maintained good relations with him.”<\/p>\n

“As Nasser’s Citroen DS3 WRC was available for this rally, we offered Chris the chance to lease the car and compete for the Qatar World Rally Team,” Mr Nogier stated.<\/p>\n

Chris Atkinson said he is really excited about the chance to compete on the world stage following the car leasing<\/a> deal.<\/p>\n

“Competing in the best rally in the World Rally Championship is a superb opportunity and I can’t wait to test the car to share my feeling for it with the team and give them my initial feedback,” he concluded.<\/p>\n

The Citroen DS3 has also shown its mettle in the 2012 X Games, with Sebastien Loeb driving the motor to victory.<\/p>\n

Loeb won gold on his first ever visit to the US to compete in the X Games. His victory came just days after he scooped pole position in Rally New Zealand and the driver and his DS3 certainly left a lasting impression on rally fans stateside.<\/p>\n
