A car leasing<\/a> scheme is an easy way for drivers to get behind the wheel of some of the UK’s most desirable cars and anyone thinking about opting for contract hire may be swayed by the awarding of a prestigious honour.<\/p>\n

A Land Rover scheme could make it far easier to drive around in the new Evoque – the winner of the 2012 MacRobert Award.<\/p>\n

The title is seen by many industry experts as one of the most influential prizes in the design sector and is the latest honour to be bestowed on the Evoque, which since last year, has picked up over 100 such recognitions.<\/p>\n

Judges were impressed with the car’s mix of striking design features and functionality, which they believe could only be achieved with very precise engineering.<\/p>\n

David Mitchell, chief programme engineer for Evoque said: “The MacRobert Award is a high honour for Land Rover and the team that created Evoque.<\/p>\n

“We are very proud that the innovations we brought to the project and the way in which they have helped make the vehicle so successful and appealing to customers worldwide, have been recognised by the academy as representing the very best in British engineering.”<\/p>\n

People who opt for a Land Rover car leasing scheme, will find that the new technology developed specifically for the model can make their travelling experiences much more comfortable and fulfilling.<\/p>\n

Magneto-rheological shock absorbers were designed to enable continuous and instantaneous control of the dampeners, while an engineering evolution in Land Rover’s already award-winning Terrain Response programme allows for further modifications to suspension and transmission settings.<\/p>\n

Engineers also managed to make great advancements in environmental performance of the car and as such, it is one of only a few models to receive accreditation from the Vehicle Certification Agency.<\/p>\n
