People looking for a competitive leasing deal on an electric vehicle should look into the Chevrolet Volt.<\/p>\n

This is according to Car Dealer Magazine, which pointed out that the manufacturer’s\u00a0car leasing<\/a>\u00a0deal for the model is “headline grabbing”.<\/p>\n

Currently the leasing package available in the US means motorists can get behind the wheel of the Volt for as little as $350 (\u00a3222) per month.<\/p>\n

The publication noted that the company is intending to use the leasing deal as an incentive to drivers, therefore giving the Chevrolet Volt EREV (extended range electric vehicle) a bigger share of the market.<\/p>\n

The first of these models are due in the US by the end of this year, with UK customers having to wait until 2012 to get behind the wheel of one of these vehicles.<\/p>\n

James R Healey test drove the Chevrolet Volt EREV for USA Today and praised the car for its engineering and appearance.<\/p>\n

“The Volt is a premium execution of a pleasant-looking, easy-driving small car,” he stated.<\/p>\n
