Light commercial vehicle (LCV) drivers in London will need to meet new CO2 emissions standards from January 2012 and Citroen has unveiled a number of incentives to help them go green.<\/p>\n

Under the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) in the capital, motorists whose vans do not comply to a minimum of Euro 3 standards will be required to pay \u00a3100 per day to use them in the city.<\/p>\n

Scott Michael, Citroen UK’s commercial vehicle operations manager, explained that many of the models in the automaker’s range already meet the required emissions output.<\/p>\n

He added that\u00a0van leasing<\/a>\u00a0customers may be interested in the LCVs from the manufacturer because they also boast excellent fuel efficiency.<\/p>\n

As a result of the new rules coming into force next year, Citroen is offering drivers an allowance of up to \u00a33,500 to acquire a new van that complies with the LEZ.<\/p>\n
