Here are the best features that Nissan’s X-Trail has to offer
The X-Trail is currently Nissan’s largest and most adventure-friendly model, packing seven-seater versatility alongside some of the brand’s most efficient engine choices.
It’s also a car that you’ll find available here at UK CarLine. But if you’re on the fence about the X-Trail, what else should you know about it? In this article, we’re going to explore everything that this SUV has to offer.
It’s got loads of space

One of the key aspects of the X-Trail experience is practicality. As a comfortable seven-seater, the X-Trail has all the space a large family could need. Likewise, if you’re frequently taking larger groups out and about, then the X-Trail’s flexible seating arrangement could prove to be very handy. There’s also a five-seater version if you don’t need that extra seat space.
In five-seater layout, you get a 585-litre boot, or 485 litres on seven-seater cars with all the chairs in place. However, fold both rows down in the seven-seater car and you’ll get 1,298 litres of space, or 1,424 litres if you fold down the middle seats in five-seater versions.
It has Nissan’s clever e-Power technology

Nissan has been applying its fuel-saving e-Power technology across its range and the X-Trail hasn’t missed out. It’s a clever system which uses a 1.5-litre petrol engine, but this never directly drives the wheels. Instead, electric motors get the car moving and the engine acts more as a generator. As a result, it feels a little more like a traditional electric car to drive.
There’s also a standard 1.5-litre mild-hybrid engine for those after a more familiar driving experience. Nissan’s e-4orce all-wheel-drive can also be selected for the X-Trail, bringing improved grip and versatility in the process.
There’s plenty of equipment on board

As with all Nissan models, you’ll find loads of standard features equipped on the X-Trail. All cars get a suite of parking sensors, as well as a rearview camera to help make positioning this large SUV even easier. Wireless smartphone charging means you can always keep your device topped up.
Range-topping Tekna versions get extra luxuries, too, such as quilted leather seats and a premium Bose sound system with a 10-speaker setup.
A Nismo version might be on the way

Just unveiled in Japan, the X-Trail Nismo brings a range of go-faster touches to this practical SUV. Nismo has extensively tuned the car’s drive system for better responsiveness, while larger wheels and tyres mean there’s even more grip, too.
Looks-wise, the Nismo gains a series of sporty touches – including a motorsport-inspired rear foglight – while inside, there are racy red flashes here, there and everywhere. While unveiled in Japan and on sale there this September, it’s expected that the X-Trail Nismo will be available in the UK soon.
There are plenty of rivals to choose from

Of course, if the Nissan X-Trail doesn’t sound quite right for you then there are loads of great alternatives available here at UK CarLine. You could look at the family-friendly Kia Sportage or Hyundai Tuscon, while the Skoda Kodiaq remains a firm favourite here.
If you like the idea of a Nissan, then there’s always the ever-popular Qashqai available as an alternative to the X-Trail.
The good news is that if you like the idea of the X-Trail – or perhaps some of its key rivals – then you’ll find them all available here at UK CarLine today.
