Wear It Pink for Breast Cancer Now
This Friday, October 18th 2024, UK Carline Crusaders will be participating in a special event, where UK Carline becomes UK Careline, to support breast cancer awareness month. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to come together, create awareness and make a real difference in the fight against this terrible disease.
What’s Happening?
We’re going all out in pink! Website, Emails, Marketing, and of course everyone’s outfits —whether it’s a t-shirt, trousers, dress, wig or pink PJ’s, we are encouraging everyone to wear something very pink to work. We will transform our office into a sea of pink to show our support, the more outrageous the better! And should make for some great photo opportunities too which we will of course share here.
Fun & Fundraising:
To make the day as fun as it is impactful, we’ve lined up a series of activities:
Pink Bake Sale & Jacob’s Join:
The team will show off their baking skills with pink-themed treats available throughout the day.
Pink Raffle:
We’ve had some fantastic prizes donated by some of our local businesses which is amazing, a massive thank you to, Flower Bowl, Barton Grange, Honeywell’s Farm Shop, Sante Group, Williams Handbaked, Myerscough Golf Complex, Ruger Barbers Lytham and Butlers Farmhouse Cheeses for your support, its greatly appreciated.
Competitions and Games:
Get ready for some pink-themed games and friendly competitions throughout the day with a Breast-Themed Quiz where the team can test their knowledge with a fun quiz all about breasts (yes, really!) Expect some cheeky and educational questions!
Fundraising & JustGiving:
All proceeds from the day’s events will be donated to breast cancer research and support services. This is a cause close to many hearts, and every penny raised will help make a real difference. We’ve set up a JustGiving page where we can track our fundraising efforts and once we have collected any cash donations on the day, we will make those available online too. If you would like to help us raise some cash, the link to our JustGiving page is below.
The Team:
Our Miles for Smiles Team will be coordinating all the activities on the day, we’ll be taking plenty of photos and the best pictures will be uploaded on this page and across our social media channels.
Why It Matters:
Breast cancer affects millions each year, and through our efforts, we can contribute to research and provide support to those in need.
