Big things expected from the Nissan Qashqai 360

JonathanJanuary 8, 2013

The Nissan Qashqai 360 is the newest addition to the Japanese car manufacturer’s sector-defining crossover, with the firm expecting big things from its newest vehicle.

Replacing the well-loved n-tec+ model and slotting neatly between the Acenta and Tekna trims, Nissan believes the 360 will be the best-selling Qashqai yet.

The vehicle definitely has big boots to fill though, especially once drivers look at how successful the n-tec+ car has been since first leaving the production line.

For one, the n-tec+ trim has accounted for an estimated 60 per cent of total Qashqai sales in the UK in 2012 – outselling the entire Ford Mondeo range in the past year.

On top of this, the Qashqai n-tec+ has also managed to outsell both the striking Kia Sportage and popular Hyundai ix35 combined.

Rather than go entirely down a different path with the Qashqai 360, Nissan has opted to bring some of the features which made the n-tec+ so admired across to its brand new vehicle.

This is highlighted by the fact that Nissan’s Connect with 360-degree Around View Monitor system is installed into the Qashqai 360 trim.

Coming integrated with satnav and presenting Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity options, the technology is sure to enhance just about every road trip.

There are a number of unique features coming to the Qashqai 360 though, such as the fact that the car’s interior is designed in a part-leather trim with double white stitching.

In order to enhance the vehicle’s exterior, Nissan has offered the bold Storm White hue as a new pearlescent paintjob option.

The outside of the 360 is further enhanced with gloss black roof rails and door mirrors, while the inclusion of ‘360’ badges around the exterior are also sure to catch the eye.

Of course, there are plenty of other Nissan Qashqai car leasing deals out there, if drivers are looking for something a little different.

The Nissan Qashqai 1.6 [117] Acenta five-door Hatchback, for example, is available for just £202.93 per month and is capable of going from 0-62mph in just 11.9 seconds and returning 45.6mpg on a combined cycle.
