Peugeot 208 GTi hits UK roads in the spring

Drivers will not need to wait much longer to get their hands on the keys to the new Peugeot 208 GTi hot hatch, with the vehicle launching across the UK in the spring.

The three-door vehicle is set to be popular with motorists hoping to experience a thrill when behind the wheel and out on the open road.

This is because the Peugeot 208 GTi is being fitted with a phenomenal 200bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine, which has the ability to get from 0-62mph in a mere 6.8 seconds.

Despite this roaring power, the same motor limits its CO2 emissions to a respectable 139g/km and is able to achieve an average economy of approximately 47mpg.

It is not just all about the extraordinary performance capabilities of the Peugeot 208 GTi hot hatch which will enable it to stand out on the road though.

Drivers are sure to be in awe when they glimpse upon the vehicle’s stylish exterior for the first time, especially since the car is fitted with bespoke 17-inch alloy wheels.

On top of this, the vehicle’s front and rear brake callipers are decorated in bold red hues, while a twin chrome exhaust and body coloured rear spoiler presents this aggressive addition to the 208 family with plenty of character.

Step inside the Peugeot 208 GTi and motorists will be able to relax in comfort in half-leather sports seats and get to grips with a nifty DAB radio system.

The cabin is further enhanced by the fact that the French vehicle giant has installed aluminium pedals to the cockpit, while red trim details finish off the interior in style.

Drivers can choose the new Peugeot 208 GTi in a choice of six body colours – white, black, blue, silver, grey, and a unique red hue – when it releases in the UK this April.

For motorists hoping to get behind the wheel of an even sportier Peugeot vehicle, they should check out the great car leasing deal currently on the table for the Peugeot RCZ 2.0 HDi Sport two-door Diesel Coupe.

The vehicle, which is available for monthly instalments of just £209.99, is a joy to look at and is capable of hitting 62mph from rest in a blistering 8.7 seconds.
