World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) competitor Arena has unveiled a road-legal version of the sporty Ford Focus WTCC car.
The limited-edition vehicle may look a lot like the Ford Focus Zetec S – it has been designed with that model’s chassis after all – but it is based on the style and characteristics of Arena’s Team Aon WTCC racing car.
Assembled as a celebration of Arena’s first season competing in the WTCC, one of the standout features of the vehicle is its sharp Frost White exterior finish, complete with blue racing stripes.
In order to make the car even more appealing, drivers will also be able to fit the unique hot hatch with a steel sports exhaust system, Yokohama Advan Sport tyres with 18-inch Rimstock Pro Race rims and a sheet of privacy glass.
Pop open the bonnet of the road-legal Ford Focus WTCC and motorists will find a 1.6-litre EcoBoost turbo engine that is capable of delivering 202bhp and a maximum of 236lb ft of torque.
Step inside this special-edition vehicle and drivers will come across even more wonderful treats. A carbon fibre trim on the centre console helps to give the car’s interior a sleek twist, while special floor mats and unique sill plates offer something a little different from the norm.
Mike Earle, team principal at Arena, acknowledged: “I am thrilled that the FIA WTCC has endorsed the new Focus WTCC Limited Edition road car.
“Hot hatch car enthusiasts I think are in for a huge treat with the Focus WTCC Limited Edition. It is a project that has more than delivered on every target we set for it when we sat down and drew up our aims for a road car based on the WTCC contender.”
For a mere £199.99 a month, drivers will be treated to a vehicle that boasts a very fuel-efficient 58.9mpg and the ability to hit 62mph from rest in just 12.5 seconds.
