Vauxhall Ampera picks up another green award

Being part of a Vauxhall car leasing scheme has numerous benefits.
As well as reducing costs and stabilising budgets, contract hire can make it much easier to get behind the wheel of the industry’s most desirable cars – whatever the needs of the specific driver.
Anyone trying to reduce their carbon footprint – or that or their business – will need to now that their car is as sustainable as possible and could be interested in the Ampera.

The model has added Auto Express magazine’s Green Award 2012 to its already impressive list of top honours.
Auto Express is the best selling weekly car publication in the UK and it held its influential New Car Awards on June 26th.
The Ampera may have only just been launched in Great Britain, but it has certainly made an impression on the judging panel.
Steve Fowler, the magazine’s editor-in-chief, said Vauxhall’s designers had built a superb car that features technology that is set to be integral to the future of the motoring industry.
“As always, the simple ideas are the best, but putting them into a car and making it work so well, then getting it on sale, is altogether much harder,” he added.
This latest award will stand alongside more than 40 others, including the 2012 European Car of the Year, What Car? magazine’s Green Car of the Year and Top Gear magazine’s Green Car of the Year.
Despite the impressive collection, Duncan Aldred, Vauxhall’s chairman and managing director, said he was delighted with the Auto Express recognition.
“The Ampera is truly a pioneering vehicle not just for Vauxhall but for the automotive industry as a whole. Its revolutionary E-REV technology makes it the first vehicle on the market providing uncompromised electric driving,” he stated.
Car leasing customers can get the Vauxhall Ampera Hatchback Electron 5dr Auto from £683.05 a month
