Volvo models ‘could save London car leasing customers money’

If you live in London or frequently travel into the congestion charging zone and are looking for car leasing deals then some of the models available from Volvo could help save you some money.

The automaker has been campaigning for Transport London to waive the congestion charge on all vehicles with CO2 emissions of less than 100g per km and that meet the Euro 5 air quality criteria.

Yesterday (October 20th), the Mayor of London Boris Johnson announced that the full discount will be made available to drivers of vehicles that meet these standards.

As a result, three Volvo cars – the C30, S40 and V50 DRIVe – are all eligible to avoid the fee, which could save drivers in the capital up to £2,500 per year.

This could be of use to people who take out car leasing deals as a way of saving money, because they typically incur lower monthly payments than a finance agreement to buy a new vehicle.

Mr Johnson also revealed that the western extension of the congestion charging zone will be removed on Christmas Eve.
