Available in Caribbean Aqua for the first time
As you’re reading this, it’s probably chucking it down wherever you are – it definitely is here, so a convertible is probably the last thing on your mind. You can still look forward to summer, right? Well, the new Mini Convertible is set to be released in the UK in March next year – just in time.
Unmistakable exterior design; precise balance between top-class elegance and sporty flair; characteristic proportions with powerfully sculpted surfaces and a dynamically elongated silhouette; and up-to-date interpretation of classic Mini design features.
There’s going to be three Mini Covertibles available straight from launch, all coming with the Cooper spec:
- Mini Cooper Convertible: 1.5 petrol, 134bhp, 55mpg & 114g/km CO2
- Mini Cooper D Convertible: 1.5 diesel, 114bhp, 70mpg(!) & 100g/km CO2
- Mini Cooper S Convertible: 2.0 petrol, 189bhp, 46mpg & 139g/km CO2
Manual is standard, and all variants get an automatic option.
You can have this woven into the roof if it floats your boat
0 to Sunshine in 18 Seconds
The Mini Convertible is set to be a fabric soft-top, with the roof retracting into a tidy bundle on the bootlid.
You’re not going to lose out on as much boot space with the lid down: you can expect 25% more than the previous model – 215 litres with the roof up, and 160 with it down.
And as you can see, you can have a Union Jack woven into the roof, if you have to.
If the new Mini Convertible is as much fun as the current regular-roofed model (click here for our review), then any driver is in for a treat. Not looking for a car yet, but find this takes your fancy? Give us a call or drop us an email to register your interest today!
