A pair of Ford commercial vehicles that van leasing customers in the market for a new model may be considering have picked up trophies.
The Transit Connect was awarded the title of Small Van of the Year for the ninth successive year at the 2011 ACFO Awards.
This is the latest accolade to be bestowed on the model, which last year picked up Best Security at the What Van? Awards, where it also won the title of Light Van in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Ford’s Transit picked up the title of Large Van of the Year – the 15th time the vehicle has been given the title.
Fleet director for Ford of Britain Kevin Griffin said the success “reinforces the choice and value we offer to commercial vehicle as well as car customers”.
Also a winner at the event was the new version of the Ford Focus, which went on sale earlier in 2011 and was named Fleet Car of the Year.
