Motorists who are looking to travel around in a new family car could find the New Generation Hyundai i30 suitable for their needs.
The hatchback model has secured the Best Family Car gong at this year’s Scottish Car of the Year awards in recognition of its sense of style and safety, as well as its strong green credentials.
It could therefore be a perfect option for anyone who is considering car leasing rather than buying a new family car, as this option can be often be a more practical and cost-effective means of using certain vehicles.
Indeed, a personal contract hire of a Hyundai i30 can cost in the region of just £200 a month. By contrast, purchasing one of these vehicles outright can set a person back more than £14,600.
Hyundai has welcomed being awarded this “prestigious” award and said it is a “real honour” to be recognised in this way.
Tony Whitehorn, president and chief executive of the firm in the UK, stated that the accolade reflects the “increasing relevance” of the Hyundai brand to drivers both in Scotland and across the UK as a whole.
The Association of Scottish Motoring Writers judged the vehicle against others nominated in the Best Family Car category, including the Hyundai i40 and the Kia Cee’d, as well as the Citroen DS5.
John Murdoch, president of the organisation, said: “The Hyundai i30 Hatchback beat off strong competition, thanks to its fine drive, superb comfort and running costs that don’t put a strain on your wallet.”
He noted that modern family cars are extremely capable and versatile these days, which he said makes it difficult to imagine ever needing any other vehicle.
Mr Murdoch added that they are also “great fun to drive, packed with safety kit and offer excellent fuel economy”, which means they are practical, comfortable and environmentally friendly all at the same time.
