Hyundai and the Future of In-Car Entertainment & Navigation
Hyundai have released details that they will be unveiling a new Sat-Nav and CD/Radio interface in favour of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay software.
The system is set to feature a 7 inch touchscreen display optimised to be paired with Apple and Android smartphones via USB. With no traditional navigation system – the feature is set to make full use of your smartphone’s features, including voice control, music (including Spotify et al.), contacts and navigation.
A further addition Hyundai are set to announce is Blue Link technology, which allows the user to remotely start their car, make use of climate control, performance and health check, and even locate the car if lost or stolen!
This is a bit of a shame for Windows phone and Blackberry users, as there is no announcement relating to if they’re going to be left out. However Hyundai will still be bundling native music and navigation software.
