Jaguar's latest campaign has been powered by a number of famous faces including Sir Ben Kingsley and Tom Hiddleston. The pair have backed the company's Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé release in a new advert, which was debuted at the Superbowl XLVII earlier this year.
The campaign was launched for the first time in the UK last night (April 1st) was broadcast during the break at half-time during the UEFA Champions League match between Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
The prime time spot raked in more than 2.2 million viewers, and the advertisement will continue to run in a mixture of one minute and 30-second executions throughout April and May across leading networks such as ITV1, Channel 4 and Sky Atlantic.
A special two-minute version of the advertisement, which is directed by Oscar-winner Tom Hooper will take to the big screen, showing in a select number of cinemas around the UK. Over the next two months the campaign will be shown before blockbuster films, such as the latest installment in the Captain America franchise.
Ken Forbes, Jaguar UK marketing director said: "The new F-TYPE Coupé is the most exciting sports car Jaguar has ever produced, so this advertisement and supporting campaign had to be equally engaging.
"The ‘British Villains' theme has already proved extremely popular, with more than 12 million views for ‘Rendezvous' recorded online. I am delighted that during April and May, the best in British film talent will be seen on screens across Great Britain as part of this innovative Jaguar campaign," added Mr Forbes.
The British Villains campaign also includes a new online film starring Tom Hiddleston behind the wheel of a white F-TYPE Coupé. The Thor actor drives the machine into an underground car park.
