Jaguar to support Team Sky during Tour of Britain

The major advantage of car leasing is that it allows drivers to get behind the wheel of some of the motor industry’s best and most desirable vehicles without paying high prices.

There cannot be many models more sought after than the Jaguar XF at the minute.

However, instead of paying the £30,800 basic list price for the Diesel Saloon 2.2d [163] SE Business four-door automatic version, it can be acquired for £377.19 per month via contract hire.

Not only does this mean that drivers get a brilliant piece of engineering capable of some serious performance, but they can also draw inspiration from the UK’s recent cycling successes.

The domestic manufacturer is supporting Team Sky riders while they take part in the gruelling Tour of Britain race, reconvening the successful partnership that helped Olympic gold medallist Bradley Wiggins win the recent Tour de France.

For the upcoming race, a Team Sky support crew will follow Wiggins, Chris Froome, Mark Cavendish and Luke Rowe in a new Sportsbrake version of the XF.

Adrian Hallmark, global brand director at Jaguar said: “The Tour of Britain is a great opportunity for Jaguar to underline its support for Team Sky. The British public is incredibly proud of our nation’s sports stars right now.

“Following historic achievements in the Tour de France, Olympics and Paralympics, this is another world class opportunity to see the country’s sportsmen in action.”

He added that the race will also give car fans another unique opportunity to see the versatile XF Sportbrake tackle some stunning country roads as the feedback from the Tour de France indicated that this new model will add to the award-winning range.

The Jaguar XF looks set to continue its success in 2012, having picked up the Executive Car of the Year title from BusinessCar.
