German car giant Volkswagen has teamed up with beloved guitar manufacturer Fender in order to create a quirky limited-edition version of the Volkswagen Beetle.
Simply entitled the Volkswagen Beetle Fender, the vehicle is sure to catch the eye with a number of impressive interior and exterior additions when compared to the standard Beetle car.
For one, drivers will only be able to own the vehicle in one paintjob – a lustrous Deep Pearl Black. Such a hue has been chosen to provide a huge nudge towards Spinal Tap’s infamous album Smell The Glove.
On top of this bold colour choice, the exterior of the limited-edition Volkswagen Beetle Fender also comes complete with a snazzy rear spoiler, stylish 18-inch Discus alloy wheels and the inclusion of a Fender badge on the car’s front wing.
The treats keep on coming when stepping inside this unique version of the Volkswagen Beetle, which is highlighted by the fact that the vehicle’s dashboard is styled in vibrant ‘Sunburst’ wood. This material is akin to what is found on the design of a classic Fender guitar.
Keep on looking around the interior of the Beetle Fender and motorists will also be able to spot a striking 400-Watt Fender sound system. This technology is packed with boot-mounted subwoofer and illuminated front speaker mountings, making it perfect for creating in-car entertainment during a road trip.
The limited-edition Volkswagen Beetle Fender is set to hit roads across the UK from January 2013.
As well as packing a quirky design that Volkswagen Beetle’s have become so beloved for, the vehicle is also able to hit 62mph from a standstill in a mere 10.9 seconds and deliver 47.9mpg.
