Toyota announces the new Aygo

JonathanJanuary 6, 2012

Car leasing customers who are thinking about switching to a lightweight and fuel efficient vehicle that is ideal for urban driving may want to consider the latest model from Toyota.

The Japanese manufacturer has announced the release of the new Aygo range and the company had sustainability and low motoring costs in mind when it assessed how the existing version could be improved.

As a result, the improvements could be practical for those businesses looking to gain a competitive edge or for individuals who want to reduce the amount they spend on car fuel and other expenses.

According to Toyota, the car’s new alterations mark the first time it has needed to make any changes to the successful Aygo design since it was launched in 2005.

The major modifications occur under the bonnet, where the multi-award-winning engine has been slightly tweaked to produce even more impressive statistics.

Toyota states that the new version is now capable of 65mpg, meaning that car leasing customers who make the switch could make substantial savings as the cost of petrol and diesel continues to mount.

Car leasing customers who are concerned about how their activities affect the environment may find that the Aygo will suit their needs. The developers said that the new modifications to the model mean its carbon dioxide emissions are cut to 99g/km, so it is exempt from congestion charges and road tax.

Other changes include the addition of a redesigned front end, which incorporates Toyota’s new styling philosophy and a greater emphasis on the lower section of the bodywork, which gives the sense that the car is more planted on the road.

Those businesses that are looking to save even further on their fuel bills could opt to hire Toyota’s new range of Prius Plug-in Hybrids when they are released later this year.
