Drivers and businesses looking to make the right impression and still help the environment may be interested in the latest announcement from Audi.

The German manufacturer has said that its range of A5s are now even “harder to resist” due to new TDIe versions.

A5s have always been popular with drivers who need to do a lot of motorway miles in the most comfortable and well-equipped surroundings, but the latest models will give motorists and businesses the chance to lower their carbon emissions and may reduce the amount they spend on fuel.

The new 136PS and 163PS 2.0-litre TDI cars are now available from £27,320 and 27,825 respectively.

People who like the sound of driving around in a brand new A5, but do not think they currently have the finances to purchase one could make use of a car leasing scheme.

By hiring an A5, drivers would bypass the expensive initial costs and still be able to take advantage of its striking looks, luxurious design and improved fuel economy.

According to the car firm, the A5 Sportback 2.0 TDIe 136PS six-speed manual is capable of sprinting from a standing start to over 60mph in 9.5 seconds. The diesel motor will power the car on to a top speed of 132mph.

However, despite this impressive performance the model still delivers a fuel economy figure of 64.2mpg – a figure usually seen in more mundane saloons.

It is a similar story in the 163PS coupe, which marries a top speed of 140mph with a carbon dioxide emissions reading of 115g/km.

As you would expect in an Audi, the interior is exquisitely finished.

Both new cars have the Milano leather upholstery, three-zone climate control, bluetooth mobile phone preparation and a colour driver’s information system.

Car leasing customers looking for a bigger option may want to try the new A6 which a 3.0 TDI capable of producing 245PS.
