Employers that rely on car leasing to provide their staff with vehicles may want to take advantage of seminars being run by the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) Drive & Survive.
The sessions, taking place in London on November 30th 2011, will give firms a better understanding of their obligations to staff and help them reduce the risk of accidents occurring.
Issues such as driving economically, using roads in winter, health and safety and completing risk assessments will be covered at the two-hour sessions and IAM Drive & Survive noted businesses “have an obligation to provide an assessment for any employee considered to be exposed to manageable risks” – which often occurs when driving for work.
The IAM recently warned all drivers that roads will become more hazardous over the winter, noting many councils are planning to reduce winter road services such as laying down salt or snowploughing as part of cutbacks.
