The Jaecoo 7 has been a motoring smash-hit and here at UK Carline, it continues to be one of our most popular vehicles. Packed with features and priced impressively, it’s a car that is easy to recommend. But what if you want a little more luxury?
That’s where the Jaecoo 7 Black Luxury Edition comes into play. It’s an even more upmarket version of this famous SUV, but what does it include? Let’s take a look.
Top of the range equipment
The Black Luxury Edition is based on the highly-specified Luxury trim level. That means you get pretty much all of the bells and whistles that you could want, with features such as a Sony eight-speaker sound system, ventilated and heated front seats, and even heated outer rear seats.
As with all Jaecoo 7s, there’s a huge 14.8-inch infotainment screen which packs all key media information, alongside navigation and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Exterior and interior changes
The main changes for the Black Luxury Edition occur on the outside of the vehicle. As the name suggests, the 7 gains a range of black exterior elements for a stealthier appearance. You’ll find a black grille, black mirrors and matching alloy wheels. Black mirrors help to finish off the overall look of the car.
Those black accents follow through to the interior, too. There’s a black headlining for a cocoon-like experience, while the sun visors are also black-coloured too. You’ve also got three exterior colours to choose from – Black, Pearl Silver and Granite White with a contrast black roof.
A new hybrid powertrain
The original Jaecoo 7 has been available with both petrol and plug-in hybrid setups, but the brand has recently introduced a new ‘self-charging’ hybrid model as well. This uses a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine at its core, bolstered by a compact electric motor and battery.

Same great technology
The Jaecoo 7 comes equipped with over 20 assistance systems to help keep things as safe as possible. Features such as intelligent cruise assist are there to make longer journeys more comfortable, while a clever traffic jam assist feature will creep the car forward without the need for driver intervention.
