The Maxus T60 MAX – a pick-up that is ready for adventure
Maxus is known for its hard-wearing models and the T60 looks as though it’ll be following in that frame.

Following on from a range of rough-and-tough pick-ups, the new T60 MAX is here to move the game forward and we’ve been up close and personal with it to find out just what it has to offer.
Engine
The T60 MAX comes with the kind of engine you can rely on. It’s a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel unit, delivering 212bhp and 500Nm of torque. It’s linked to an eight-speed automatic gearbox and, as you might expect, you’ve got full four-wheel-drive to provide traction whenever you need it. A rear differential lock will come in handy when the conditions get sticky, too.
When it comes to efficiency, Maxus quotes around 25mpg combined, while CO2 emissions are impressively low at 239g/km.
Capacity
With a pick-up truck, it’s all about capacity and weight. The good news is that the T60 MAX comes with a full payload of 1,050kg, meaning that it can handle a full ton of goods in the load bed at the back. The bed of the truck is nice and easy to access thanks to a tailgate with lift assistance, and you’ll find plenty of tie-down and anchor points back there as well.
Towing
Thanks to that sturdy 2.0-litre diesel engine, the T60 MAX gets the full towing allowance for this type of vehicle at 3,500kg. It means you shouldn’t have too many worries when towing larger trailers. The tow bar gets pre-wiring for electrical systems, too, but speak to the UK Carline team if you’re after a trailer hitch and interface to help with braking lights.
Roof rails add some extra carrying possibilities, too, in case you run out of room in the bed.
Cabin
You’re going to be spending most of your time in the cabin of the Maxus T60 MAX, though, which is why it has been kitted out with plenty of great features. As standard, you’ve got a 12.3-inch central touchscreen and a second driver’s display of the same size, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come equipped as standard as well.
Automatic air conditioning is equipped in both the front and rear of the cabin, and those sitting up front get electric heated seats for more comfortable winter driving. Both driver and passenger seats get six-way electric adjustability, too. Keyless entry means you can get into the truck easily when your hands are full, too.
Equipment
We’re already well aware of how well-equipped the Maxus range is, so it’s little surprise that the T60 MAX comes with plenty of toys. You’ve got LED lights all the way around, alongside heated and folding wing mirrors. Automatic wipers and headlights are included on all models and all windows are powered, too.
Maxus has equipped the T60 MAX with a huge level of safety systems, too. Highlights include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, alongside both lane keep assist and lane departure warning. There are parking sensors at the front and rear of the truck, too, while a 360-degree camera will make positioning this model a lot easier.
