Mercedes Set to Launch a Pickup?
In a not-so surprising announcement, Mercedes have announced they are in the early stages of developing their first pickup truck, being developed primarily for the already booming pickup market in Europe, as well as Latin America, South Africa and Australia.
The truck is set to be aimed at both commercial users after a reliable workhorse, and private individuals looking for something versatile and comfortable.
“We call it rough luxury,” said Kai Sieber, director of design, brands and operations at Mercedes-Benz Vans.
More information will likely emerge in the coming months, but no timeline has been given for showroom release.
The new Mercedes will be facing some stiff, established competition in the luxury pickup market from the likes of Toyota and Nissan. If leasing a pickup is something that you think might appeal to you, we have some great offers on our website, have a look and enquire today!
