A NOTE FROM UK CARLINE / 2026
The future looks good.
There have been plenty of exciting new cars and concepts worth looking forward to at this year’s event.
The 2026 Paris Motor Show is underway, with the French capital playing host to some of the biggest new-car reveals of the year.
Showcasing the latest models and concepts from some of the motoring world’s biggest manufacturers, it’s been a bumper event for car enthusiasts. Many of the cars revealed at this year’s show could influence future production models, while others could be arriving at UK Carline soon. Let’s take a closer look at the highlights.
Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso
The art of the grand tourer, reimagined.
Alfa Romeo has a long history of producing some of the motoring world’s most beautiful cars, and its new Cuorerosso concept suggests the Italian brand is back in its stride. Returning as a sleek 2+2, the concept has plenty of character and could offer a glimpse of what’s to come from Alfa Romeo.
While most of the cars revealed at this year’s show are electric, the Cuorerosso bucks the trend with a powerful hybrid 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged V6 engine.
Alpine A310 Vision
A seventies silhouette. A very modern future.
Alpine’s A310 Vision pays tribute to the original A310, one of the sleekest cars in the French manufacturer’s history.
While the original model first appeared in the 1970s, this new concept brings the name right up to date. It explores the design possibilities of Alpine’s advanced electric-era Performance Platform, while remaining a standalone concept rather than a confirmed production model.
BYD Atto 8
Seven seats. One very big statement.
One model that could be joining the UK Carline line-up soon is the BYD Atto 8. Set to become the largest and most spacious car in the BYD range, it features seven seats and could rival the new Škoda Peaq.
There’s plenty of equipment and passenger space on offer, too, alongside a particularly useful 136-litre storage compartment under the bonnet. This ‘frunk’ is one of the largest of its kind.
Citroën 2CV & Fourgonnette
The French original gets an electric second act.
Citroën’s 2CV Concept is undoubtedly one of the highlights of this year’s Paris Motor Show, with its unveiling in the French capital providing the perfect setting for a modern take on an iconic model.
Inspired by the original, the new electric 2CV features plenty of quirky touches, including a removable radio that doubles as a Bluetooth speaker and a central storage area designed to look like a basket.
Citroën also unveiled a more practical version of the concept, called the Fourgonnette. This compact van could be an ideal option for inner-city deliveries.
CUPRA Raval ABT
More attitude for the electric city car.
We’re already big fans of the CUPRA Raval here at UK Carline, but anyone looking for a sportier appearance might be interested in the new ABT bodykit.
Inspired by CUPRA’s motorsport heritage, the package adds a large roof spoiler, more prominent front and rear splitters, and deeper side skirts. The result is an even more striking version of the compact electric car.
DS F3VER
A hatchback with a high-fashion edge.
DS has been making a strong impression with the design of its latest models, with the No.8 being a prime example. The new F3VER concept suggests the French brand could also be planning a striking new hatchback.
In fact, the concept shares several design cues with the original DS3, potentially offering a glimpse of a successor to that model.
The F3VER could be one to watch as DS looks to strengthen its position in the compact car market.
Fiat Multiplay
A clever answer to the family-car question.
Remember the family-friendly Fiat Multipla? Well, Fiat could be bringing the name back to life with its new Multiplay concept.
While the original Multipla was famous for its unusual styling, the new concept focuses on practicality and versatility. Its flexible seating layout allows it to transform from a spacious people carrier into a practical pick-up, making it an interesting proposition for families and those who need extra carrying capacity.
Leapmotor B03
A new challenger to the electric supermini.
Leapmotor is taking aim at the Renault 5 with its new B03, a compact electric car expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2027. When it goes on sale, it will become the Chinese manufacturer’s smallest model.
Despite its compact dimensions, the B03 promises plenty of practicality. A claimed WLTP range of up to 242 miles and a sizeable boot should make it a useful option for everyday driving.
Peugeot E-T16 Concept
A rally legend, electrified and turned up to eleven.
Peugeot is looking back to its motorsport heyday with the E-T16 Concept, which takes direct inspiration from the iconic 205 T16.
Like its predecessor, the new concept features a squared-off, boxy design. However, with a huge 805bhp on offer, it’s considerably more powerful than the original.
Peugeot claims the E-T16 can accelerate from 0–186mph in just 16 seconds, while offering a range of up to 249 miles.
Peugeot RCZ Vision
That unmistakable silhouette makes a comeback.
When it was first unveiled in 2009, the curvaceous Peugeot RCZ showed a different side to the French manufacturer. Now, the new RCZ Vision concept suggests Peugeot could be looking to recapture some of that appeal.
Like the original, the concept features a low-slung, sleek design, complete with the distinctive ‘double-bubble’ roof that became one of the RCZ’s signature features. It’s certainly a model worth keeping an eye on.
Renault E-Space
Making the people carrier desirable again.
MPVs appear to be making a comeback at this year’s Paris Motor Show, with Renault’s E-Space bringing back a name familiar to many families.
Like the original Espace, the new concept is a large, practical people carrier designed to offer plenty of headroom and legroom for passengers.
Measuring just under five metres long, it’s roughly the same length as Renault’s current Rafale, giving an idea of the space on offer.
smart #2
Good things still come in small packages.
The smart city car is back in the form of the compact electric #2. Like the original, the new model has been designed to make the most of its small footprint, offering more interior space than you might expect.
A claimed range of up to 180 miles should also be enough for most everyday city journeys.
It even retains the original’s distinctive split tailgate, which opens in two sections and can double as a handy seating area when parked.
Vauxhall STX Concept
A bold next chapter for the practical car.
Vauxhall clearly believes there’s still a place for estate cars, with its new STX Concept offering a glimpse of what could be next for the brand.
Standing for Sports Tourer eXperimental, the concept features a sleek design and is the first Vauxhall to wear the manufacturer’s new Griffin logo.
Vauxhall hasn’t revealed a driving range just yet, but the STX Concept will feature an all-wheel-drive setup and has a claimed top speed of more than 124mph.
