Vehicles produced by Volkswagen could be a popular choice among van leasing customers at present as the company has announced a strong growth in its figures so far in 2011.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has seen its sales increase by 36.2 per cent between January and March 2011, compared with the same period of the previous year.
The sum equates to a shipment of 121,200 vehicles so far this year globally across all its series, which the company stated has cemented its position as a market leader in Europe.
Harald Schomburg, board member for sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: “The excellent start to 2011 confirms our aim of exploiting all growth potentials consistently and systematically.”
Popular vans in the company’s range include its Transporter, which is available as a fuel-efficient panel van, a five or six-seater kombi, or a chassis cab with a payload of up to 1,425 kg.
