VW van leasing could save money and the environment

Opting to use a Volkswagen van leading scheme could be a shrewd move for businesses looking to lower costs in a tough trading environment.

Any firm which relies on its fleet of vans to move goods up and down the length of the UK will know how fuel, repair and maintenance costs can mount up if not effectively managed.

But now, decisions have been made easier after Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles produced its first infographic based on the findings of a white paper entitled Evolution of Van: Efficiency and Fleet Operation.

The information should provide company owners, fleet managers and van drivers with the tips and tricks they need to reduce the costs of running their vehicles.

Volkswagen’s white paper highlights some key findings, such as saving fuel by using the latest telematics to increase fleet utilisation and to avoid unnecessary journeys, while keeping vehicles operating as efficiently as possible, or simply selecting the most appropriate van for the job in the first place was cited as wise moves.

Every one of these priorities are easier if a business opts to use a van leasing scheme, as it makes it far less difficult to switch fleet vehicles to take advantage of all the current technological advancements and keep on top of vehicle maintenance.

This is without mentioning the main advantage of a van leasing scheme, namely that the expensive upfront costs associated with privately purchasing vehicles are neatly avoided and overheads are easier to regulate.

The Volkswagen models offer some of the most high-tech options available to businesses at the moment. The BlueMotion range will not only lower fuel bills but also help to reduce the size of a firm’s carbon footprint.

It is this type of innovation which led to the industry experts at Van Fleet World magazine naming Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as Van Manufacturer of the Year in the 2012.
