Car Transporters can be built on 3.5 tonne, 4.2 tonne, and 5.2 tonne chassis cabs, and most of these chassis' cabs are readily available for conversion to your specification and for extra carrying capacity and payload, you can opt for the bigger 7.2 tonne chassis.
Class leading payloads are readily available through the exclusive use of aluminium, creating a Renault Master 3.5 tonne "non tacho" vehicle with a kerb weight of only 1885kg for example. The 5.2 tonne car transporter allows a 2850kg payload after driver and fuel, meaning it can carry anything, with the additional flexibility of being able to pull a trailer with a GTW of 3500kg. That's Two Range Rovers or Four Citroen Ami's in one go!
The increase in electric vehicle sales has put pressure on the traditional 3.5 tonne chassis conversion due to the additional battery weight of new electric vehicles which can easily take you over your allowed payload, but with the use of new lightweight metals, it allows us to maximise the payload on any of the chassis cabs above.
